*First Time in Visayas* Part II

Day 2 – Bohol Tour

Our trip to Bohol was one of the best that we had. I can say, that we were those lucky few who get to enjoy the best of Bohol before the great earthquake destroyed most of the tourist spots. We were in Bohol just two weeks before the great earthquake. To date exactly – September 29, 2013, nighttime.

Bohol can be traveled in just one day provided you either rent a motorcycle, which costs P600/day, and requires driver’s license and good driving skills (you will have to do it on your own), this is good for couples though. But we opt to rent a car for our day tour, wherein the driver also acts as our tour guide, costs P2000/day and day tour could start as early as 8 AM. For us, we asked our day tour to start at 10:00 AM, to give us ample time to soak in the white beaches of Panglao.

Come with me as I reminisce our Bohol Experience – Day Tour at Bohol! Our first stop is at Bohol Bee Farm Resort, of course we went on tour with our couple shirt 🙂

Our tour guide introduced us first with the different variety of herbs growing in the Bee Farm Resort, and one of the facts that was impressed on me is that Bohol town is composed of 70% limestone and only 30% soil, amazing how a limestone can hold thousands of residents and is a home of different varieties of herbs, vegetables and animals as well.

Before seeing the bees, we checked first the handicraft section of the farm, this is where their souvenir items are being made
